It boasts a collection of over 70,000 books, 1,750 magazines and 750 regional newspapers, all of which are arranged in the open access shelves and according to subject categories. Furthermore, the library holds audio-visual materials pertaining to the social and cultural life of the Italian national community. It is a unique place of knowledge and study of the history of the Eastern Adriatic. In fact, the Centre has one of the richest and most complete collections about this territory, regularly replenished with modern publications. Its heritage includes book collections of immense intellectual capital and invaluable bibliographic value. It is open to the public on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with prior notice. First of all, the archive holds a large and systematically organized collection of documents of the Italian National Community from 1945 to the present, as well as from previous time periods. The preserved material is varied (acts, private files, documents, photographs, posters), collected based on its value in acting as a witness and protecting our indigenous people in this area. <\/p>\n
Over the years, the outstanding heritage consisting of cartographic collections (geographical, topographical, nautical, military, cadastral maps, graphics, vedutas; some 4,000 pieces) of great importance for the history of the Eastern Adriatic has been acquired. <\/p>\n
Owing to its specificity and richness, the archive of the Centre is a unique place dedicated to knowledge and study of the territory of \u200b\u200bIstria, Kvarner and Dalmatia.
